Clan Rules

1. Each Clan will have a Clan Captain called a Chieftain. This is solely for the purpose of having to contact just one member and not all the clansmen. Clans can decide how much internal power each Chieftain has. Chieftains are responsible for recruiting their Clans. Chieftains need to contact me.

1a. Clans must have a name.

2. The Clan competition starts January 1st, 2006.

3. Clans will have a maximum of 3 veteran Clansmen per team (including Chieftain) and a maximum of 3 Novels for a combination of no more than 6 clan members. Clans cannot have a combined winning % higher than 170% (not including Novels) as of the start of play. Each Clan is required to have at least one "newbie" or Novel Clansman. A Novel Clansman is one who has less than 40 games played as of the start of competition. Novel Clansman winning % does NOT count towards teams combined winning %.

4. The Clan competition will last 1 year, with a review after 6 months to make minor changes if necessary. During this time, Clansmen are required to stay together. If a Clansman drops out of club and/or cant be reached by his Clan after a lengthy amount of time, Clan may replace Clansman as long as he fits within the winning % guidelines.

5. All games played will use the club's regulations. Games will count toward the 2-player Parade Square (PS). 4-player games will NOT count towards the 4-player PS. These games will be recorded on 2-player PS with each player getting credit for one type of win/lose.

6. Clan's will also count towards a new PS. This will only be used to determine which Clan has the most points at the end of year and to make sure each Clansman has played the required amount of games....Scoring system: L=1, TV=2, V=5, BV= 10.
Note: Send in Start and End game reports as usual, but include its a Clans game.

7. Each Clansman (including Novel Clansman) must complete at least one Clan game per 6 months. No Clansman AT END OF YEAR may have more than twice as many finished games as the combined total for the Novel Clansmen. In other words, if a Clan has more than one Novel than all of the Novel's games played will be added together to determine the combined total of Novel Clansmen games. Example: At end of year, the most games played by a single non-Novel is 5. The combined games played for all Novels in that clan
must be at least 3.

8. Clans will be required to play certain scenarios during the year. This is to insure Clans don't just play 1 scenario that they are good at. A list of required scenarios will be on website. Clans may play any scenario as long as they have played required scenarios by end of year.

9. Clans/Clansmen may challenge any Clan to a scenario (contact the Chieftain and he will notify his Clansmen. Do not contact a Clansmen directly). Challenged Clan will decide which of their Clansmen will accept the challenge or can refuse the challenge. Note: If a Clan continually refuses challenges penalties may be applied. This will be brought up at 6 month mark.

10. Players may help others in their Clan in a scenario, but may NOT view the actual turn (.eml). Screenshots are allowed using F11 function or Windows Print Screen.

11. The winning Clan at end of year will have their names scrolled across Forum until next Clan competition is completed.

Penalties:

At end of year for breaking rule 7 will be a two point reduction
for each game finished by a single clansman that has more than doubled games
played compared to number of combined Novel games. This is a reduction to only the Clan's Parade
Square. No points will be deducted to individual scores towards other Parade
Squares.

At end of 6 months, any clansmen not completing at least 1 game with have a reduction of 1 point towards Clan's Parade Square.
