Scenario Requirements Playtest Page
The main function of the Playtest team is to make sure the scenario passes all the requirements below. However the team can also assist in helping the designer get his scenario to play the way he intended. This may include having it tested for balance. The designer needs to inform the team how he wants it to play. As a reminder we are here to assist, not to make the scenario, so please have it as completed as possible. If needed a time limit for playtesting may be added.
Send scenarios to Goldfinger
The original maker of a scenario is allowed to make updates ONE time per year. The scenario's name has to be changed to prevent the wrong version from being played. Only a minor name change is needed. Example: All Out War changed to All Out War V2. The new version must follow the below guidelines.
Included in Zip:
1. All files needed to play except .shp files if special map is used. Please name files similar to scenario name.
2. Instructions on installing scenario including special .map file if used (Usually called a .readme file)
3. Objective map (what's needed by both sides to win)
Listed in "Scenario Description Screen", .Readme file or preferably both:
1. Date of Scenario
2. Equipment file required
3. Prestige settings
4. Number of turns ( BV, V, TV)
5. 4-player code Ex. 8-0-20-1
Scenario (Must)
1. All Victory hexes and Supply hexes function properly.
2. Supply hexes or combination Victory hex/Supply hexes can not be on or adjacent to airfields.
3. If its a Dual Victory hex (both sides need to win) it needs to indicate so in scenario (.txt file)
4. Have no more than 90 lines in the .txt file for terrain. Example river, and city names. Using the same terrain name several times in the .txt file will likely cause the scenario to fail. Note, 4-player scenarios are void of this rule.
5. The title for the scenario must have the scenario's main name as the 1st word. Example: "Stalingrad" vs. "The battle of Stalingrad". The "battle of Stalingrad" would need to be changed.
Scenario (Optional)
1. Rivers, cities, mountain ranges, etc. are named
