With the creation of new equipment files has come a new generation of icons and sounds. In order for these icons and sounds to be recognized by your PG2 game, a new Dataup has been created. If you are interested in playing with different equipment files, it is important that you reinstall your game completely and start from scratch. The new Dataup will only work properly on a fresh, clean installation. For an in-depth reading on this subject, visit :

1. As previously instructed, upgrade your installation to version 1.02 with the proper patch for your country's version.
2. Download the Soundup and the Datup (all necessary upgrade files can be found here)
3. Extract the Datup Zip file into your main panzer2 folder and follow the directions EXACTLY.
If you have installed Datup correctly it will show DATUP August 2006 (depending on the version of the latest DATUP) in the bottom left hand corner.
4. Extract the Soundup Zip file into your SFX folder which is located inside of your main panzer2 folder and follow the directions EXACTLY.
5. Download FFWC2004.zip here http://www.ffwcpg2.org/recon/upgrades/ffwc2004.zip (This is FFWC equipment file) Be sure and read the pdf file which is included with the download. It will give you all the information about what's different with the ffwc efile.
6. Create the following folders inside of your panzer2 directory:
A. Original
B. FFWC2004
C. Zip E Files
7. Extract the FFWC2004.zip into your FFWC folder.
8. Find the 3 SSI equipment files (equipment files shown in figure 1 below) which are located in your main Panzer2 folder. Copy and paste these 3 files into your new "Zip E File" folder for safe keeping
9. Place the FFWC2004 zipped file into the Zip E file folder for safe keeping.
Now, if you wish to change from the original SSI equipment file to the FFWC equipment file, find the three files illustrated in Figure 1 (EQUIP97.EQP, EQUIP97.TXT and GUI97.TXT)
Figure 1
which are located in your main panzer2 folder. Move these three files into the folder you created and named 'ORIGINAL'. Then, open your FFWC folder and move the three files from this folder into your main panzer2 folder. That's it! You are ready to play with the FFWC equipment file. Follow these same steps whenever you wish to change equipment files. The readme files have been renamed to the appropriate equipment file name for easy recognition.
If you have installed FFWC correctly it will say “Using the FFWC ARMOURY v2004” in the top left hand corner in place of 1.02.
The best method for switching equipment files is to use a batch program. Contact Clayballs *** for further guidance on batch files.
