Patching Panzer General II
 

1. Download the 1.02 Game patch for your country version of the game from one of these links:

2. Click the correct country patch you need to start downloading.  The system will ask you where you want to download the patch on your hard drive.  At save In:  guide the system to c:/panzer2.  Click Save.

3. When the download is complete, go offline.

4. Find the file "pg2uk102.zip" (or the correct country patch if not using "uk" patch) in your c:/panzer2 folder.  Double Click on this zip file which will open up "Winzip Wizard".  Click "Next", click "Next" again and you will receive a warning caution as it is an .exe file, click "Yes" to continue.  Click box "Select different folder" and go to you local disk(C) scroll down to Panzer2 and highlight it.  Click "ok" then click the "Unzip now" box in Winzip.

5. You will now have the patch file "pg2uk102.exe" inside your Panzer2 folder.  You can recognise it by its "Icon".  Double click on this .exe file which will open up a box "Locate system to update", in the Look in: box go to your Panzer2 folder and highlight it, then click the "Open" box.  Click the "Open" box again and you will be asked if it is ok to perform the update, click "Yes".  That's it.       

Note: Don’t panic if the patch fails.  There are many different versions of Panzer General II out there, some of them quite rare.  Take notes of exactly what error messages you get and what happens to your system, then contact  Clayballs***

Note: You can now play using the Original Equipment Files that came with the Game at FFWC.

Note: There is also a version of the game, which comes on a single CD with three or four other SSI games.  If you have that one, Contact  Clayballs*** immediately.

Congratulations!  You have patched your game to version 1.02.  To determine if the patch was successful start the game and look in the upper left hand corner of the Main Menu and you should see 1.02 in the corner.
